Here’s what I love most: getting to the root of why we may feel inadequate, and why we may not be taking the best care of our bodies and turning to food and sedentary lifestyles to find relief.
On some levels I am a weight loss coach. But I only see weight loss as a side effect of the internal work I do. Really I am a body-befriending coach. The goal for me with my clients is to eliminate all barriers from feeling truly at peace with themselves, always making choices out of self love. By clearing out the old narrative, traumas, and emotions, clients often find that their relationship with food, exercise, sleep, sex, dating, and work changes for the better.
The main area that I emphasize within the realm of body image is one's relationship with food. Often people with negative body image feel out of control with food.

Makayla
Makayla brings a variety of influences into her coaching practice. She has a BA from Naropa University with a concentration in Yoga. She is trained in NLP, EFT, FasterEFT, and is a certified expert coach in Brittany Watkins' Think and Thin techniques. She is an avid student of Somatic Psychology and Dance Therapy and studies with Melissa Michaels and Livia Cohen-Shapiro. Her background in movement, meditation, and self-awareness practices greatly influences everything she does. She also loves blueberries, and the soft sweetness of puppies.
